Ali F. Krisht, M.D.,
is an associate professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at UAMS Medical Center. Dr. Krisht graduated with a medical degree from the American University of Beirut School of
Medicine. He did his neurosurgical training at Emory University School of Medicine in
Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Krisht is the director of the Neuroendocrine Clinic and
Cerebrovascular Clinic. He is also the chief of service in the Department of
Neurosurgery at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital.
Dr. Krisht is a member of numerous distinguished professional organizations including
the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons,
North American Skull Base Society, Southern Neurosurgical Society and the Medical
Association of Arkansas. He has held several editorial positions and he presently serves
as the chief editor of the publication Contemporary Neurosurgery. He is the senior
editor of a recently published book on disorders of the pituitary gland and has published
extensively in his areas of expertise.
He has several ongoing research projects with the main focus on cerebrovascular
diseases and pituitary disorders. He is involved in professional and public education and
is frequently invited to meetings and workshops to give presentations both at the national
and international level.
Dr Krishts published work includes over 100 articles, 14 textbook chapters and 2
books; Pituitary Disorders: Comprehensive Management, and Collaboration in editing for
Microneurosurgery IV.
